The GALLERY of LIGHT van Olszewski!

Robert Olszewski heeft de miniaturen van de Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC) gemaakt. Enesco, ook de leverancier van de WDCC brengt nu zijn Gallery of Light uit, die ook weer miniaturen bevat. Deze miniaturen zijn verwerkt in een soort shadow box met LED-verlichting. Deze boxen zijn neer te zetten, of op te hangen!

Robert (Bob) Olszewski staat internationaal bekend als gerenommeerd schilder en sculptor. Met zijn dertigjarige ervaring heeft hij de kunst van het vervaardigen van miniaturen geperfectioneerd. Hij begon met het vervaardigen van miniaturen doordat Bob voor zijn dochtertje ooit items voor haar poppenhuis begon te maken. Zijn werk werd opgemerkt door de firma Goebel. Zo werd hij Artistic Director bij Goebel Miniature Studios.

Later richtte Bob zijn Olszewski Studios op waarin ook de Story-Time miniaturen werden geboren. Nu brengt hij via Enesco the Gallery of Light!

Snow White & Dopey:
In the gentle light of morning, Snow White bestows a sweet kiss on the baldhead of Dopey. With the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs as a quaint backdrop, the little princess and the adorable Dwarf from one of Walt Disney’s most beloved animated films inspire smiles and warm affection. Aurora & the Spinning Wheel:
The sun is setting on Princess Aurora’s 16^th birthday and in the glow of that ominous sunset the beautiful maiden is about to fulfill Maleficent’s evil curse—that she will prick her finger on a the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into eternal slumber. An eerie light surrounds the mesmerized princess as, spellbound; she extends her finger toward the cursed spindle—a dramatic scene from Walt Disney’s magnificent animated feature, Sleeping Beauty.

Bambi & Thumper:
The young Prince of the forest discovers the joys of nature as sunbeams shine through the lush foliage of his woodland home. With the rambunctious rabbit Thumper as his guide, Bambi sees the world around him—including a lovely butterfly—glowing with promise. This exquisitely detailed scene captures all the beauty and artistry of Walt Disney’s animated masterpiece.

Lady & Tramp:
Lovely Lady and jaunty Tramp dine alfresco by candle glow. As restaurateur Tony and cook Joe serenade the canine couple with a charming love song, the pampered cocker spaniel and the mutt from the wrong side of the tracks discover that— even with wash lines and city buildings as a backdrop—a spaghetti dinner is the perfect setting for romance.

Beauty and the Beast:
Illuminated by the light of a delicate chandelier, the grand ballroom is the setting for a wonderful waltz as Belle and her Beast dance, fond feelings and new possibilities unfolding within them. Together this unlikely couple discovers the loving qualities within each other’s heart as they whirl in a dream of romance, for theirs is a “tale as old as time.”

Jack Skellington & Sleigh:
Well-intentioned Jack Skellington soars through a moonlit sky in his own specially designed holiday sleigh pulled by skeletal flying reindeer. This spooky “Sandy Claws” merrily flies over snowcapped rooftops, under which peaceful inhabitants happily slumber—unaware that their visions of sugarplums are about to turn into a nightmare before Christmas.

Cinderella & Coach:
As the loyal mice Gus and Jaq look on in wonder, the Fairy Godmother waves her wand and, in a dazzling display of magic that lights up the darkened garden, Cinderella finds her rags transformed into an ethereal gown and a simple pumpkin changed into a magnificent coach, ready to whisk her to the Royal Ball. In delightfully minute detail, the world of Walt Disney’s beloved animated fairy tale is delicately recreated.
